There are reasons, very good reasons, that wheatgrass has been one of the reigning champs of microGREENs for so long.
Wheatgrass is rich in vitamins A, B complex, C, & E. This green machine also contains iron, zinc, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, and selenium.
Selenium is a powerful antioxidant and may have some cancer fighting abilities.
It also aids in good thyroid function, improves blood flow, helps lower the risk of heart disease, and it may even be linked to good respiratory function.
It’s also an immune-booster!

Wheatgrass benefits your Pets too - scroll down
Some companies that make pet food provide products that contain wheatgrass or its extracts, however, as processing often neutralizes wheatgrass’ beneficial ingredients, it is always better to choose unprocessed if available.
Unprocessed, recently harvested wheatgrass is better
-living wheatgrass is best.
Do not give wheatgrass as a main meal
– cut into smaller pieces and use as a supplement to your pet’s food or as a training treat.
Juiced at low speed and added to your pet’s water, wheatgrass provides excellent benefits plus helps reduce bad breath!
Alternatively, toss in a cube of our fresh-frozen wheatgrass juice when refilling your pet's water bowl.
Blend a little wheatgrass in a food processor with your pet’s daily meal(s).
Toss some freshly cut Wheatgrass in your pet’s bowl as some prefer to chew on it raw thus providing extra fiber.
There are many ways to use wheatgrass for your pets
– be creative!
If your pet has an open sore or wound, you can make a poultice with wheatgrass pulp - apply it to the wound and apply a clean bandage.
You can even use wheatgrass juice to clean the wound!
Start with small quantities and observe your pet’s reaction – gradually increase, but don’t overdo it.
Wheatgrass should be considered a supplement to, not a substitute for, your pet’s daily meal (s).
Start slowly and take the time to discover the right quantity of wheatgrass for your pet.
Just as humans suffer from indigestion, nausea or vomiting with excessive consumption, your pets could also suffer from similar reactions if given insufficient time to acclimate.
